Monthly rundown: October & November 2012

Nothing much happened these months. I was busy with university, and my motivation for writing was pretty low. I haven't even read much.

Monthly rundown: September 2012

Nothing really happened in September, I feel. I didn't write much, didn't blog much, didn't have a release or a submitted a new submission. I just haven't done anything worth mentioning, it feels like.As this have been a very bad month writing wise, I only have to copy the goals for last monthly rundown and post them here again, as I didn't manage to do any of them.

Reading

• Read quite a few books, but I haven't done any recommendations

Looking forward to in October

• Getting a release date for How About a Boyfriend?
• Hearing some more on Sakura Kiss, and maybe get a release date

Goals for October

• Go through Yesterday's Tears and get it ready for submission
• Finish Silver & Kian's short story
• Start in on their sequel
• Write and finish Measured Doses, my first m/m/m contemporary
• Write some shorts once in a while, maybe once a week

That's it, really. I hope October will be a more productive month. I also have a birthday this month, but I never do anything out of my birthdays. I just let them pass in silence, mostly. *grin*

Monthly rundown: July 2012

Posting this a little late (it's already the 5th of August!), but I've been busy. My last post explains it all well. Also, some part of this post will explain it. 

Releases

• I got into school! Not in England, but I'm happy with where I'm going

Bad stuff

• Haven't been blogging as much as last month, but that'll hopefully changed now that the stress of will-I-get-in and won't-I-get-in and all that
• Haven't been writing much either, but hopefully that will change as well

Reading

• I read Megan Derr's Kiss the Rain last month, but my book rec was posted on the first of July. 
• Read Megan's Midsummer series; Midsummer's Moon, Midsummer's Curse, Midsummer's Law and Midsummers Baker. Loved them all!
• Re-read Shawn Lane's Sutter Bay books, because the next one was coming out in August.
• Read Equilibrium by Katey Hawthorne. 

Goals for August

• Finishing my Kiss Me At Midnight anthology submission
• Finish Kian & Silver's story
• Finish Midnight Sun

Looking forward to in August

• Hearing some on Sakura Kiss, and maybe even get a release date
• Starting school (this time I can't get allergic, so hopefully this education will work out!)
• Quitting my job
• Moving away from my hometown

Monthly rundown: June 2012

Today's the last day of June and so I thought I'd post a little rundown on what's happened this month.  I don't have any new releases this month, but Polar Nights has been running as a serial, which concluded on Wednesday.

Good stuff

• Got over my funk and started both writing and blogging again
• Started this blog all over, and have managed to have new posts every day
• I particapated in the Manga & Romance Blog Hop

Sumissions

• Submitted Scarred Souls
• Submitted Sakura Kiss

Writing

• Started Apocalypse and it's still going strong
• The other stories aren't going so well, my motivation jumps around a lot

Reading

• Read a lot of good contemporary: A Note In the Margin by Isabelle Rowan; Haven Coffee House Boys 1 & 2 by Stephanie Hecht; Coming Home by M.J. O'Shea; One Small Thing by Piper Vaughn and M.J. O'Shea; and College Fun & Gays 1-3 by Erica Pike.
• Got back to reading fantasy with Megan Derr's Kiss the Rain, which I finished this morning and absolutely loved.

Goals for July

• Finishing Apocalypse
• Finishing Mist On the Moor
• Finishing Kian & Silver's story
• Plot out the sequel to Mist On the Moor, as it's turning out to be a series
• Worldbuild on the world of Mist On the Moor, as in the sequel we will learn quite a bit about the world

Looking forward to in July

• Hearing back on Scarred Souls and Sakura Kiss
• Release of Polar Nights

Changes to the blog in July

30 Days of Character Development wraps up in two days, so from then on there won't be a new post every day. However, as I'm back to reading, I will post book rec's more often. I read too many good books to rec just one each Friday. So Friday will have to get another theme. More on that later.
