30 Days of Character Development: Day 01

This will keep me updating the blog every day, for at least thirty days. It's a questions meme, where you post a question each day for thirty days. I've decided to use the guys from Reunited, as I have more shorts planned for that series. I will use four characters; Damian and Josh, and Silver and Kian. Silver is Damian's best friend and roommate, while Kian is Silver's boyfriend.

1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Damian: He did not have a good relationship with his parents. He had an abusive childhood, which ended when his mother killed his little sisters, his father and herself. She also tried to kill Damian, leaving him with a big scar across his chest. Damian was taken in by his uncle and his wife, but his childhood left him mentally scarred.

Josh: He does not know his father, and he did not have a good relationship with his mother during his childhood. He was abused, both sexually and physically by his stepfather. When he tried to kill himself at the age of sixteen and the abuse was revealed, he and his mother started growing closer. They now have a good relationship.

Silver: He doesn't really get along with his parents, never has. His parents are growing old, they got Silver when they were in their late forties, and they are quite old-fashioned. After the accident, they sent him off to London to live with his ten-year older brother. He has a good relationship with his brother.

Kian: He grew up with a mother who was a drug-addict, and he left her behind the minute he finished school. He doesn't have anything to do with her anymore. His father came back in the picture after he was off age, with his new wife and child, and after a rocky start, Kian now has a good relationship with them.
